Class Changes
To fall in line with other clubs we are to change our classes to an hour in length. In doing this we are going to run the classes at a higher tempo to maximise the time and attention span of students to best effect. This has been tried and tested at a club I run in Yorkshire with good results
Advertising
The club has not advertised for new members for a couple of years, it is our intention to do so for new members to start in September. It is hoped this will increase membership and replace those that have dwindled away over time.
Fees
Although overheads of the club have risen slightly over the last year
mat, grading and membership fees will stay the same. That is no increase for a 3rd
year running.
Holidays
Shaw
Last class will be Wedneday 28th July
Shaw will reopen on Thursday (new day) 2nd September
Juniors 7 pm till 8 pm - Seniors 8 pm till 9 pm
STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE BEFORE THEIR RESPECTIVE START TIMES Milnrow
Last class will be Tuesday 3rd August Milnrow will reopen on Tuesday 24th August Juniors 7 pm till 8 pm - Seniors 8 pm till 9 pm
STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE BEFORE THEIR RESPECTIVE START TIMES
Milnrow is only closed for two weeks; it is hoped as many of the Shaw students as possible will attend Milnrow during the break
As many of you are going on holiday may I wish you all a safe and pleasant break wherever you venture and thank you for the support you give the club

Oldham Chronicles our success

Monarch medals
TY-GA Monarch Jujitsu Club struck gold at the Ty-Ga World Open Championships at the ExCel Arena in London.
Angela Clough and Sensei John Foster were crowned champions at the contest which featured 350 competitors.
Clough struck gold in the women's lightweight sparring and also claimed silver in the demonstration with Tashi Sensie Mike Ashton.
Foster led the way in the men's black belt veterans sparring section from club-mate Sensie Tony Greenwood, and the pair joined forces to pick up bronze in the demonstration.
Meanwhile, Dave Booth and Ken Vickers have earned their 4th Dans and Ashton has been promoted to 3rd Dan. They were all promoted by Grandmaster Gary Wasniewski, a 10th Dan.
